Our Story

Built in Durham, one listing at a time.

I picked up a camera more than a decade ago, and I never really put it down. What started as a passion turned into a craft, and four years ago that craft became Bull City Media — a real estate photography company based right here in Durham, named for the city that shaped it.

Here's the part most photographers can't say: I was a realtor for two years before this. I've written the listing descriptions, sweated the go-live dates, and refreshed the MLS waiting on a photographer — so I know exactly what you need as an agent, because I've been the agent. And no, I don't still hold a license. Just as you trust me with your photography, I leave the buying and selling to the experts. (Yes, that's my old realtor headshot up there. It was too good not to reuse.)

Real estate photography clicked for me because it sits at the intersection of two things I care about: technical precision and telling the story of a place. Every home has an angle, a time of day, a detail that makes someone stop scrolling. My job is to find it — whether that's a 1920s bungalow in Trinity Park or brand-new construction in Cary.

Since then, I've photographed more than a thousand homes across the Triangle. Agents keep coming back for the same reason they booked the first time: the photos are consistent, the turnaround is next day, and the person answering the phone is the same person holding the camera.
